Description:

Delta Sky Way at LAX is a multi-billion-dollar modernization program integrating Terminals 2 and 3 into a unified 27-gate campus that transforms Delta’s curb-to-gate experience. SDI provided the framing and drywall scopes for the reconstructed Terminal 3 Satellite Building, which replaces outdated 1960s infrastructure with a modern concourse featuring expanded gates, upgraded building systems, new concessions, and direct airside connectivity to both the T3 headhouse and the Tom Bradley International Terminal. The rebuilt concourse enhances passenger flow, operational efficiency, and the overall domestic-to-international transfer experience.

Constructed through a complex, multi-year design-build delivery, the new T3 concourse incorporates high-performance MEP systems, improved seismic resilience, and integrated baggage, IT, and security technologies. Large-format glazing, reconfigured boarding areas, and durable interior finishes elevate the passenger environment while supporting the long-term operational needs of LAWA and Delta Air Lines.
