Description:

The 58,300-square-foot Draper Utah Temple was designed to create a calm, uplifting setting for sacred ordinances and personal worship. Positioned high on the Draper foothills, the temple’s interior is shaped by finely detailed assemblies, coordinated building systems, and materials selected for clarity, durability, and spiritual resonance. Stone, art glass, and crafted millwork work in harmony with high-performance wall and ceiling systems to support acoustic comfort and visual stillness. Precision substrates and reinforced backing systems were integrated throughout, ensuring the building’s interior finishes achieve both their functional purpose and symbolic intent.

SDI is deeply honored to contribute to a house of worship of such significance. The quality of our work is reflected in the accuracy of the framing, the refinement of interior surfaces, and the integrated support systems that allow the temple’s ornamental finishes to perform as intended. Through close collaboration with the project team, SDI helped deliver a facility built to the Church’s standards for beauty, reverence, and long-term stewardship—ensuring the Draper Utah Temple remains a place of devotion for generations to come.
