Description:

The 1.25-million-square-foot flagship office tower serves as a gateway to the Capitol, consolidating more than 20 state agencies within a secure, modern workplace environment. The 14-story glass-forward façade, complemented by Texas pink granite and architectural metal panel systems, reflects changing daylight while establishing a civic presence. Interior public spaces promote transparency and accessibility, with amenities including a café, outdoor gathering areas, and future cultural programming that activate the surrounding pedestrian district.

SDI supported the building’s performance and architectural expression through integrated interior and exterior wall and ceiling systems that reinforce durability, acoustics, and life-safety requirements. Our work helped shape high-quality public interiors and secure agency spaces designed for long-term government use, resulting in a prominent civic landmark that advances the State of Texas’s vision for a cohesive, accessible, and future-ready Capitol Complex.
