SDUSD Memorial Preparatory Whole Site Modernization

Located in San Diego’s historic Barrio Logan neighborhood, the Memorial Preparatory Whole Site Modernization transformed the existing campus into a state-of-the-art educational environment serving transitional kindergarten through grade 12. The 241,000-square-foot redevelopment includes a new child development center, preschool, wellness center, and performing arts theater—creating a unified campus designed to support learning, health, and community engagement. The project was designed to Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) standards, integrating sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems throughout.

SDI provided comprehensive framing and drywall services for both interior and exterior assemblies, along with plaster, architectural metal panels, acoustical and linear metal ceilings, and air/moisture barrier systems. SDI’s involvement from early design through completion ensured seamless coordination across multiple systems, effective resource management, and consistent quality throughout a dynamic campus that will serve San Diego students for generations to come.
