Description:
The Intuit Dome is a 1.25-million-square-foot, 18,000-seat sports and entertainment arena serving as the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers. The project establishes a new benchmark in sustainable, all-electric arena design, targeting LEED Platinum certification through on-site solar generation, water recycling, and high-efficiency building systems. Delivered as part of a joint venture, SDI provided design-build framing and drywall services, completing more than 500,000 square feet of interior wall and ceiling assemblies throughout the arena’s complex geometry, including the seating bowl, suites, concourses, and extensive back-of-house areas.
Curved ceiling forms, high-performance acoustical assemblies, and large-scale prefabrication required precise coordination, disciplined sequencing, and rigorous safety standards to meet the venue’s demanding design and performance criteria. The completed arena is a world-class facility that demonstrates the value of collaborative delivery, technical expertise, and execution at scale within one of the nation’s most advanced sports venues.
