Description:

The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley anchors the landmark Mayflower Mountain Resort—the first new ski-in/ski-out destination resort built in the U.S. in nearly half a century. Spanning more than 860,000 square feet, the eight-story luxury hotel and condominium complex includes four levels of below-grade parking and public space, 387 guest rooms, 55 private residences, and extensive conference, dining, and retail amenities. The resort serves as both a premier alpine destination and the nation’s first Military Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) ski resort, offering discounted lodging for service members and their families.

SDI provided comprehensive interior and exterior framing and drywall services, leading coordination efforts in BIM and maintaining production across high-altitude, weather-sensitive conditions. SDI’s team delivered technical precision in cold-formed truss systems, soffits, ceilings, and specialty finishes—overcoming complex logistics and an aggressive schedule through disciplined planning, prefabrication, and year-round skilled labor. The project was recognized as the “Most Outstanding Hospitality/Resort Project” in the 2024 Utah Construction & Design Most Outstanding Projects awards, underscoring its excellence in craftsmanship, collaboration, and execution within one of the most demanding mountain environments in the country.
