Wilshire Grand Center
Scope of Work:
Drywall
Description:
Rising 73 stories above Downtown Los Angeles, the Wilshire Grand Center stands as an 1,100-foot mixed-use tower and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. The landmark development combines a 900-room InterContinental Hotel, 400,000 square feet of office space, and 45,000 square feet of retail and dining, all capped by its signature sail-shaped crown and spire that redefine the Los Angeles skyline.
SDI provided interior and exterior framing and drywall services for the podium structure and interior scopes throughout the tower and hotel levels. Executed under the demanding logistics of high-rise construction in a dense urban core, SDI’s work required precise coordination, advanced sequencing, and exceptional quality control to support the project’s accelerated schedule and LEED Gold certification. The result is a landmark achievement in design, engineering, and craftsmanship, symbolizing the continued evolution of Downtown Los Angeles as a global destination for business and culture.
