Description:

SDI provided framing and drywall services for the Pedersen Patient Tower, a 12-story, approximately 600,000-square-foot replacement inpatient facility at Intermountain Healthcare’s Utah Valley Hospital. The new tower replaced the campus’s existing seven-story inpatient center, expanding capacity with additional private patient rooms, modern surgical suites, and specialized treatment areas. The tower supports a more efficient, patient-centered model of care while meeting current seismic and life-safety standards.

Constructed within an active hospital campus—including work in both the new tower and existing hospital facilities—SDI executed complex interior and exterior framing and drywall across highly technical clinical environments, including surgery, imaging, ICU, and critical care areas. The work required disciplined phasing and strict infection-control protocols to maintain uninterrupted operations. The completed project delivers a flexible, high-performance inpatient environment that enhances patient and staff experience and strengthens care delivery across Central Utah.
