Designed as a flagship replacement for Stanford Health Care, Stanford Hospital is a seven-story facility purpose-built to accommodate rapid advancements in medical technology while elevating patient-centered care. The hospital includes 368 private, daylit patient rooms designed to support family presence, along with a significant expansion of diagnostic, treatment, and emergency services. SDI provided framing and drywall services throughout the highly complex clinical environment, meeting rigorous seismic, life-safety, and performance requirements.
The facility features 17 operating rooms, 11 image-guided interventional suites, five MRI suites, and an expanded Emergency Department with dedicated trauma bays—strengthening care coordination and emergency response. Beyond its clinical core, the hospital integrates wellness through landscaped healing gardens, walking paths, and quiet respite spaces for patients, families, and staff. Together, these elements deliver resilient infrastructure, human-centered design, and long-term flexibility for one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers.
