Texas Children’s Hospital North Austin Campus

Texas Children’s Hospital North Austin Campus is a 530,000-square-foot, full-service pediatric and women’s hospital developed to expand access to specialized care in Central Texas. As Texas Children’s first freestanding hospital outside of Houston, the campus provides comprehensive services for mothers and children, including a 52-bed NICU, 28 labor and delivery rooms, 72 postpartum rooms, and a 24-bed emergency center, supported by state-of-the-art operating rooms, diagnostic imaging, and procedural suites.

SDI provided framing and drywall services throughout the facility, supporting highly technical clinical environments with stringent life-safety, acoustic, and infection-control requirements. Designed around a family-centered care model, the hospital features private patient rooms, integrated technology, and flexible layouts that support future growth and evolving care delivery. Indoor and outdoor amenities—including play areas, courtyards, and family lounges—create welcoming, restorative spaces that enhance the patient and family experience.
